After starting my computer, NIS 2004 icon is in the right hand corner but with no anti-virus showing. I then open my NIS and see that NAV "auto protect" is off and that my e-mail scanning is not working. I then enable auto protect and see the NAV icon in the right hand corner. The e-mail scanning error still shows in NIS. Funny that my e-mail still scans properly and my NAV is updates automatically.

Any thoughts? I am also working with Symantec techs to solve the problem

I would think a clean uninstall/reinstall would fix this too. But then again, I've never had problems with NAV and have never used NIS.
