NIS 2005 security alerts from W98SE kernel

Recently upgraded to NIS 2005 from NIS 2004. The past week have been getting security alerts from NIS that it says are low level about the W98SE kernel listening on ports. The information always show different ports. AV, Ad-Aware, and SPy-Bot scans as well as Symantec and ShieldsUp!! scans show nothing un expected. The additional information NIS provides gives me little help. Was not able to find anything on the Symantec knowledge base. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
