Recently installed a new hard drive and windows xp operating system...keeping my old drive for storage, saving my files and docs.

Now when I go to access my document folder on the old drive, it says access denied.

I did have an admin password, but now there is no way that I know how I can access the folder.

Any suggestions would be nice...I need to get my docs.

    Thanks

    I am running XP pro

Thanks...I tried that...in the advanced tab there is only the options for archiving or encrypting...nohing else anything I try to do gives me the error message

E:\Documentsand settings\Mike is not accessable" Access is denied

There is not a security tab either...just a General, Sharing, customize

    Still stuck...but thanks

Did you first disable Simple File Sharing in Tools > Folder Options > View first as that gives you the Security tab.
