Hey you all... Im new here, never posted before, so forgive me if i mess up with the protocol...

anyway, i have a problem..last night i had some pop ups...knew it was prob spyware, I tried to run malewarebytes, it wouldnt allow me to open the file, so i started in safe mode..... then i scanned it this morning, used malware bytes and Advanced Sytem care... did find a couple of items... i supposedley deleted them, then rebooted,

now it seems i cant access the internet. whenever i try to access google , or the internet, or even go to Control panel i get the following message:

"windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. you may not that the appropriate permissions to access the item"

im not sure what to do at this point, please help, thanks.

Try in safe mode with networking. IDoes it work? n normal, open cmd prompt and type ping www.yahoo.com
    Get any returns?
Run this tool from MG, (this is for XP, if different OS, post back)

This will repair your settings. Then reboot.
Not an uncommon problem following malware removal. But you should run the full set of scans under READ AND RUN ME FIRST sticky in the malware forums, and start a thread there esp. if any scans won't run or you show malware detection:wave:wave
