    Hi

What is your Windows version and Service Pack?

Drivers for your PC are HERE just need to pick the Windows version you are using and install if XP the Chipset and then the UAA drivers (if XP SP2 or lower as SP3 has them built in) from HERE and then the Audio. If Vista just install the Audio driver again.

Also check in Services (control panel > administrative tools) that the Windows Audio Service is Started and set to Automatic.

Yeah other suggestions are tell us what OS you have at the outset and I wouldnt have wasted my time, however.......

    1. Get 866- pcsafety to fix it as you would have likely paid them to remove your malware, so they should leave you with a fully working PC as thats bad paid support if they dont.
    2. Follow the below as it may work, has for many but not a 100% fix all PCs after malware

lol.. sorry o thought i put the os in my original msg. 800 pcsafety is a free service provided by microsoft to fix ur malware issues. however.. i did the steps above and they did work. i was able to download the drivers and they are digitally signed. but i still do not have audio :(

    Hi

Check in Sevices that the Windows Audio Service is Started and set to Automatic.

In Device Manager do you have any devices with yellow ! marks? if so please name them.

It is on automatic and there is no symbols next to anything in device manager, or under sound video and game controllers.

    Hi

In Device Manager click View > Show Hidden Devices and anything there thats greyed out in Sound and Video Game Controllers?

Have you any Audio/Video CODEC packs installed like K-Lite or XP Codec Pack? if so uninstall them.
