No Boot, No Screen, NO Anything

Received computer to clean up software. When booted it had 2 OS on and booted to XP Pro. Right off antivirus 360 start giving messages, this is spyware, I know. Computer was not hooked to internet so I'm trying to get stuff closed and look at My Computer as the screen starts breaking up and becoming unreadable. So I reboot and go to other OS which happen to be WIN 95. Once loaded and I start opening windows screen becomes unreadable with streaks again. So I reboot again and nothing. Sometimes I get a 4-3-4-3 beep code and sometimes I get 1-1-1-1. This is a Trimond hn440 MB with Phoenix BIOS. The first code is "Boot code read ok" cannot identify second code. Tried different power supply, no help. Removed HD's and hooked to another computer and was able to read and clean with AVG. Tried clearing CMOS, no help. Tried to use WIN 98 startup disk but there is no floppy seek and it will not start. Dead MB?? Any help greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like it. Have you tried using a different video card? Have you tried booting with everything unplugged (including the hard drives, CD drives) and using only the bare minimum to get video (RAM, CPU, video card)? If you can't get video using a different video card, different PSU, new CMOS battery, different CPU, and different RAM (if they are available), then it's safe to say the mobo is dead.


(judging from the model number of the mobo, I'd say it has an Intel 440 chipset, which tells us the age of the board; I'd be glad it lasted 10 years)
