have a sony vaio with a c: drive containg OS etc and a d: drive containing my data.
Microsoft update tried to install SP2 which hung in the middle giving me no option but to power off. When i rebooted i got the BSOD and the following msg :-

The application failed to start up because winsrv was not found. The best solution to this problem is to reinstall the application.

I tried to follow the instructions in this thread http://www.anetforums.com/posts.aspx?ThreadIndex=29066

But it wouldn't work because the SPUNINST.TXT file refers all commands to the c: drive
but my windows system seems to be on E:\WINDOWS and i don't seem to have a c: or D: drive. Does anyone know where my C: and D: have gone and how i can get them back so i can uninstall this blasted SP2? BTW my drives were in NTFS format.
    TIA
