I reinstalled my Lenovo Ideacentre K450 to factory. All went wwell except I was not getting a wireless network connection, went to Device Manage and saw a program "wan miniport (network adapter) was inop.
Tried updating the driver,no good, googled the problem and was told to uninstall it (by 3 different sources), then to click on the Computer name and click changes made and I did so, still no wireless connection. I am using my network adapter to connect, without it threre is no connection. I do not see any wireless network adapters in Device Manager. Any help appreciated.

Which Windows OS are you using?
Does the PC have onboard Wi-Fi?

Which version of Windows are you running?

On my Windows 7 partition, my wireless driver was missing and Windows couldn't find a driver online. I installed IOBit's Driver Booster obtained from major Geeks and it downloaded and installed the wireless driver — problem solved.

Are you running 7 SP1 or 8.1? Also, 32/64 bit? I would try downloading the driver from Lenovo and then removing and reinstalling it that way. Not sure, but I think that reverting the changes in Windows after removing a driver would not fix a corrupted driver installation. You can access the drivers for the K450 here:

    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/pro...s-desktops/ideacentre-k450-desktop?beta=false

Choose your OS and then look down the list. I looked for 8.1 drivers and saw a Realtek wifi lan driver, but it was way down past the point where you have to press the button to see more drivers. There sure are a large number of driver options. You would have your work cut out if you ever had to reinstall Windows and then the drivers.

Ran into this problem a couple of days ago and removing and reinstalling the driver fixed the issue for me in this instance...
