   Strange1 Staff Sergeant

   over nite a Compaq presario developed this situation............after booting up there was no mouse cursor (plenty of cursing tho). Afterdown powering, I rebooted in safe mode and have mouse cursor. Also screen icon and windows (control panel etc) are very large. Can anyone suggest resolutions. This comp has Win ME.

   Does your screen resolution look crappy too ( cannot thing of better word at present ) ?
   
   if so and this would make the icons look big and terrrible... your graphics card driver has been corrupted... download and install and updated one as a first measure.
   
   
   as for mouse.. have a look in the Device Manager for any yellow [!] marks
