No Display Properties Tabs

i just cleaned my computer (windows XP) up because it wouldnt start up last week, everything is working fine except when i go to right click the background and click properties there are zero tabs at the top.

Re-installing the Display Adapter may resolve the issue. If not, there is a registry hack that may work as well. I would suggest first that you uninstall and re-install the display adapter. If that doesn't resolve the issue then you might try using regedit and navigate to :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

Be sure to back up your registry first! Then:

Look on the right side pane for any values beginning with NoDisp (Ex: NoDispAppearancePage) and change the value from 1 to 0. That should resolve the issue.
