No, Don't Write Me Off - Yet...

Hi, all!
I don't often come here as on the whole I don't have any real major issues with my computer (my son, also a geek, and who lives with me usually sorts out any glitsches) but yes, I can well understand hackers upsetting the apple-cart, so-to-speak. I've experienced something similar - last year sometime - on a FACEBOOK page - some sleazeball somehow managed to hack into my password and was posting filth under my name on this particular page, but someone alerted me to this, and I immediately created a new password which (I think) this piece of dirt will not easily hack into this time. Fortunately all my fellow-facebookers assured me they knew it was not my style and peace was quickly restored. Heaven only knows what pleasure it gives filthy fustiluggs like that to do what they do... eish!!! But anyway, I like the new look of the site here. And thanks to Jim and Tim for alerting me of what was going on. Cheers for now!

 

Have to wonder if all computer genius "slezeballs" put their knowledge to good efforts what a difference it could make in this world.

 

Thanks, KatKat and LauraR - good to be back and hear from the both of you. AS I said before, I don't "visit" very often, but it's good to know I can always knock on your doors as and when I am really stuck on an issue.

 

David, got that "beautiful" word from a book I was reading many, many decades ago - FOREVER AMBER by Kathleen Windsor - a story that takes place during the reign of Charles II in the 1600's and part of the story takes place during the Black Plague and it is during that episode when one of the characters rants about "that filthy fustiluggs." Very descriptive, I think!!!
