So my Hp G 72 laptop recently decided to not work anymore and all the screen says is Driver does not exist. It has Wndows 7 on it.
How can i download a new one without going through hp to get the recovery disks?

Does it say driver or drive does not exist?

Try tapping the F8 key repeatedly at the HP screen and from the advanced options try Last Known Good Configuration.

If that doesn't work then try the Repair Computer option and see if it will fix the boot files.

The screen that comes up is "No bootable device- insert disk and press any key"

I cant get past this screen

No bootable device means it is not seeing a hard drive. Go into the BIOS and see if your hd is listed. make sure it is set as the first bootable device. If you still see the error, then either the hd died or the connector is bad.

Recovery disks will not work if you do not have a working hard drive.
