 I have been trading emails with the factory for the past 3 weeks. I installed a new usr wireless router. The wireless connection and my other 2 computers that are wired work as far as the internet is concerned. Neither of the computers can send or receive email. I have to physicaly bypass the router for email. We have tried turning off the firewall, port forwarding, port triggering, turning off the XP firewall, turning off the antivirus software etc.. Does anyone have any ideas? This is the list of what is in linefrom modem to computers.

    Road Runner cable modem
Netgear 4 port switch (pulling 2 IP's for head to head on the net)
Belkin 4 port router (old but works great just slower) w/2 computers
    USR 5461 wireless 125G router w/3 computers
All computers are running either XP Pro or Home

With RR Im assuming your using POP and SMTP? That is port 110 and 25 respectively. You said you tried port fwd and port trigger but Im still going to guess that the new router is blocking those ports for some reason. Or, if I read your post correctly.... you have two physical routers in front of those three computers? You may have to put that USR router in the Belkins DMZ zone or better yet, check the Belkin's log. There has to be some evidence of blocked traffic. Then set up the Belkin to pass that traffic. Kind of vague but I hope it helps a little.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to solve the problem. It was not the routers fault. I have been with RR since it started. When my computer was originally setup for email on RR inreguard to the server portion of outlook express. They did not use the domain name after pop-server and smtp-server. After adding the domain name to the setup my email worked correctly.
