Check this site out for me:

    http://www.1and1.com/

Click on Hosting at the top.
Click on Sign Up under the Home Package (bottom left)
    Click continue, click continue again.
If page loaded after the Free Software page, then it worked for you.

    Try this:

    http://portal.compuserve.com/wmconnect/menu/default.asp

Click on Mail Center at the top left, did it work?

If any or both of those worked for you, then my computer is really messed up. It won't display any of those two webpages, and of course those are the webpages I want to go to most. Can anyone help out?

Number 1 cause of not being able to connect to secure websites are firewalls blocking that particular port.

    What firewall are you using?

Try uninstalling it and getting to the site.

The next most common cause is the cipher strength in IE not being reported properly. You can check this under Help, About...

Patience is a virtue, and a requirement on this board. We all have to sleep sometimes.

    And...?

    What about the firewall?

I shut it down, exited it using ctrl alt del, and still the same. Should I just uninstall it?

Yes. Uninstall it. Shutting it down half the time doesn't reopen the ports.
