There was no "Qwik-Fix" icon in system tray which I already enabled.(Qwik-Fix Beta 0.6)
And also,I could not find QF in the "processes" except a "splash screen" in the startup saying that it enable.May I know it's running?

    Could someone please advise.

Which OS are you using if XP in Taskbar and Start Menu settings there is an option to hide inactive icons, that maybe why you are not seeing the TB Icon.

if you open Start > Run and type msconfig > enter then look at the startup tab that tells you what apps will load on boot.

I would be tempted to uninstall and reinstall just incase you had a bad install, I would on re-install turn off your Anti Virus as they can interfear with the install process of some apps.

    Thanks Halo,

I'm running XP Home and all the icons are in the system tray except QF.
I'd also uninstall/reinstall the program for several times but same result.
Yes,I could see the QF in the startup as mentioned but not in the tray.
Although I'd feedback to them for several times but till date there is no respond.
I wonder are they serious about the feedback for improvment or just to please everyone?

    Best regards.

one thing for you to try or check, again go into Start > Settings > Taskbar and Start Menu and tick "hide inactive icons" then the customise box becomes active click that and look for a OF icon > click on it and you will from a drop down box under Behaviour be given 3 choices > choose Always Show > OK > Apply

yes some companys dont really respond to the negative aspects of their software BUT I hope its just because they are busy and will respond to you in due course... sometimes if its a small company only a few operatives work in customer support and may take a few days to a week to respond.

just to see whats happening and as I'm in the middle of installing some new hardware and have a bit of time while a HD is formatting, I downloaded and installed QF, mmmmmm i got an icon as soon as it installed so then I checked the apps options it does have one to stop the icon showing in the system tray.....

open qwikfix via start > programs then click advanced options and check if tick is in "show system tray icon"

one further thing do you have a software firewall if so uninstall QF then turn off firewall and re-install QF ... I did noticed the install procedure needs internet access!

plus I noticed its still in beta testing so some issues on different systems may happen.

    Thanks again Halo,

Yes I did open the option and checked to enable through the desktop icon & also as you mentioned via start>program>option>system icon enable in both way.

I config my Norton Security for QF.exe to access the internet at the very beginning.

Untill now I still very doubtful why only QF icon appeared on the desktop and not in the system tray suppose to be.

As I mentioned earily when I reboot my PC,the only "splash screen" saying that QF is enable, but no system icon.I only could see QF icon in my desktop & at startup only.
I also puzzel that, is QF running in the"processes" or not.

Yes,I agreed with you that this is a Beta version and we can't expect much from them.

Up-to-date thers's no respond from PivX regardless my several email to them.
