no life in my aspire 7520

Hi there, just purchased a semi dead acer aspire 7520. When power button is pressed indicator lights go on but there is no sound at all, no fan nor hard drive, also it wont allow me to turn it off other than remove battery. I have reseated the ram, reseated the hard drive and now thinking it is in need of a motherboard repair, before i send it in to the boys, is there anything else i could try,

Try starting with no RAM. Any beeps?

 

cheers buddy, tried it with no ram, tried everything i can think of, thinking maybe its time for a graphics chip repair!
