No light scribe drives found

    I go to use my light scribe fill out everything using sonic to form a CD cover.. and when I hit print I get A window stating that Light scribe Engine error
    There is no light scribe drives found on this system. too no avail I tried downloading drives from Hp and Light scribes but nothing seems to work so I bought a new light scribe drive A HP 1170 and it came with Nero essentials 7 loaded it up and still get the same error burns and records fine both of my drives but will not light scribe a disk What do I do to fix this problem? I've Google it also to try to find an answer HELP PLEASE!!!! I want this program again. Is there no fix?

    Hi

    What Windows version are you using?

    I take it you do also have Lightscribe disks and placed them label down in the drive?

    What i would try is to uninstall any burning software you have (make sure you have the original media or setup files to install it again) and also uninstall the Lightscribe Engine Software, all done from Add/Remove.

    The run this guide HERE and delete the upper and lower filters, reason behind this is at times these filters can become corrupt and cause disk operations to not work or drives to not be detected.

    Then download the latest known LS Driver engine from here

    Instal your burning software again and if your Windows version is Vista or Windows 7 then Nero 7 is not fully compatible and will need the updated version of 7.5.7.0 mentioned in this Guide HERE or grab the Lightscribe simple labeler from HERE

    then try again, also the Lightscribe troubleshooter HERE when you have run this attach the log file in a notepad text file with these instructions HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post
