I have said it many times but noone believes, MSE is one of the worst antivirus programs out there! Yes it is light on resources but it sucks big time in protection!

I have had 2 viruses crawl twice on to my system even though I am a safe user. Furthermore, it sucks in deleting any threats

Install avast! Free Antivirus or Robo Scan they are both free and way better than the useless MSE

If it is good enough for Fred Langa, it is good enough for me.

    and
Fred Langa, a former Chief Editor of Byte and Windows Magazine, has been covering computers since the days when 640K was more RAM than anyone could possibly need.

I currently run it on four windows partitions (won't run on 2K and linux) and have never been infected.

Haven't seen that old Gates quote in quite a while... :)

I note that while AV-Test makes a big deal of their claimed independent status, they seem to have no problems developing and selling products that compete in the anti-malware market...

I have MSE on 2 computers and Avast Free on the other 2, and I never have a problem with any. The Avast PC's have had it on for a long time, and the other 2 have just recently had to have XP reinstalled, and I loaded MSE on those. I feel it's a "no lose" situation. In my opinion.
