No Motem. No sound card

Ok here is my computer info:

HP pavillion 6475z
Intel celeron processor 466 MHz
15.3 GB Ultra DMA Hard drive
Was originally equipped with v.90 56k modem
96 MB SD Ram


Ok my Desktop is pretty ancient and I decided to upgrade a while back from w98 to w2000 pro. It worked for the most part except I had to get a hold of someone to install a modem and a sound card for me. (Guy had a crush on me =D). The day before yesterday everytime I tried to reboot, it would show a blue screen saying what I think said was system corruption.

The night before I was trying to take out Norton Anti Virus to try and install sophos. Norton was no longer working with the w2000 upgrade. I never went ahead and installed sophos. I dont know if this has anything to do with it.

So it continued to show the blue screen for a split second and then restart it over and over. So I installed W2000 pro again and It worked. My computer is empty. I tried to install all the original software that HP had included copies of but it gave me a message like fatal error. As far as the upgrade is concerned, I still have the same problem from before. I dont have Audio nor do I have a modem. I tried to install both and the computer cant find any installed. How can I do this myself?

If anyone can help with any feedback or suggestions to better maintain the computer I would really appreciate it.
