After taking care of multiple spyware and trojan issues taken care of in the malware removal forum, I am unable to use my network at all. If I go to network connections, it is totally blank. I have tried to install an external network card and new cables. I have hooked it up to my router and to my switch. When I hook it up I get a light on my router or switch, so I know it is trying to go through. I tried to remove my network card in the device manager and then reboot to no avail. I can see both network cards in the device manager and windows says they are working fine, of course. I used a program that I have used many times called winsockXPfix and it did not help either. Any suggestions on how to get my computer to recognize either card or possibly just install the network files from my win xp pro disk? I am, of course, trying to avoid reinstalling windows or reformatting.

    Thanks, Brian
