    Hi everyone,

I have read the sticky about posts in here but unfortunately I downloaded Everest but it would not install as it has no digital signature. I know this is a pain of Windows 7 64 Bit so have tried to disable the digital sig requirement by entering these lines after going into cmd.exe

    bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS and
    bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON

This has not worked as Everest again would not install.

As I say I have Windows 7 64 bit and I cannot install drivers for any printer, do have a Samsung laser already installed but bought a new HP 4500 Wireless and just won't install, neither will Epson drivers I tried as a test.

Tried to find how to disable the Digital Sig in Advanced boot options but could not see it. My machine is a Dell laptop Inspiron M5030 MODEL 5030-0971 and I know Dell put a load of Dell crap on and change things they shouldn't.

Please help as its driving me up the wall :( and my 8 year old daughter wants to print some color for a change.

I apologise if there is something I should have put in the post and haven't.

    Gary

try hard wiring the printer to the computer and rebooting to see if windows will install just the base drivers automatically.

Thanks for reply but already tried that with the USB cable if thats what you mean. BTW isn't the problem with the printer drivers maybe to do with the Digital Sig requirement anyway ?

Tried to run in compatibility mode as XP - wouldn't run as said was not compatible with XP 64 Bit.Then tried Vista mode and ran as administrator but that failed also and removed the install.
My install package is called HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z so tried it with that.

See if this solution helps. Uninstall the driver. Disconnect the printer. Then try to install the driver. Windows 7 built in drivers work for the printer but not the scanner.

On the driver page under utilities there is a utility to fully remove the driver software. I would run this after you do a normal uninstall. Then try installing your driver without the printer connected as referenced in the above link. If that does not work, try the utility to install the software on a Windows 7 computer. This will install drivers over the internet.

It is under Utilities in the Driver Download Page.

Select Windows 7 64bit in the dropdown box.

Sorry, I have run out of ideas. It may be a good idea to ask your question over at the HP forums or HP printer support.

    Hi Gary

I'm taking it that you logon to that PC as the admin? if not do so and try the driver again, you may also need to disable your security software as at times some of them are over eager to protect you (also tell us ehat security software you have installed).

    Possible fix is HERE
