NO O/S found

    Hi , I have a HP pavilion that started out with millinium and upgraded it to xp. The unit was working fine then all the sudden when I boot up it says NO OPERATING SYSTEM FOUND anybody got a clue what to do?

    I had the same problem with my windows ME operating system. I used the recovery disks and had to play with it for a while for it to actually work again

    I unplugged the harddrive and plugged it back in and secured all the cables still NO OPERATING SYSTEM FOUND

    if you have the case open can you touch the hard drive when you turn the system on? does it feel like it is getting power? is the system booting to the hard drive first or is it trying to boot from a cd or floppy. make sure you do not have a floppy or cd in the drive.
