No Pci device driver

Hi,

Earlier today i formatted my pc, after being bugged by malware for weeks that kept getting worse, and put a fresh install of Windows Xp Home edition on (SP 2), i have updated everything but have no sound. I have tried finding the driver but the one i downloaded from the site hasn't worked. I have a Hewlett Packard Hp Compaq dc7600, im not exactly sure which driver to use. I have no pci device driver just the yellow question mark.

Help would be great. What info do i need to post?

Just to update quickly its fixed, i used everest mainly to find out more information on my system, i haven't had this tower long. I searched for the chipset audio drivers but it turns out i only needed the realtek high definition one, new system i was a bit dubious especially after the trouble iv had the past few weeks. Yay! After about 6 hours everything seems ok. I have noticed some drivers are extremely hard to find, earlier when i installed windows the pc couldn't detect my modem and i had no driver cd as it usually installs itself, so i was stuck with no internet which i needed to download the driver, my brother gave me a dell driver cd and i found one that worked, after searching for about 2 hours through old disks i had.

I noticed i had legacy audio codec and searched for those drivers, once i installed realtek high def driver it fixed the pci device problem and gave my sound back. It works i just hope iv installed the right one and it won't cause any more problems.

My compute can't play a music file. It does't have sound controller. I open device manager and see that: ? other device
? PCI device
? SM bus cotroller
? video Controller (VGA compatipile)
Could you help me to solve this problem? My computer chipset is Intel P35/G33/G31; Southbridge is Intel 82801 GB (ICH7/R); Northbridge is Intel G31; (Onboad) video chipset is Intel GMA3100 and Audiochipset is Realtek ALC662.
