    Hi guys,

I have a big ole major geek type problem... first off this is a semi new build that has turned into a major problem.

I am on my second MSI motherboard... and it is too late now to return my processor to new egg... fun fun... but anyway this is what I am running and what is going on:

    MSI k9n2 sli platinum motherboard
    2) 2gig mushkin 1066 pcs8500 DDR memory in a matched set
AMD Phenom 2.3 GHZ quad core 9600 cpu
ATI firegl 7200 video card with 256 mb memory on board
    850 Watt corsair power supply
western digital sata hard drive 300gb

I am going to be using windows xp home 32 for a while if it ever posts and boots.

I have power, fans blow, leds light... it hangs up on memory detect. It has did this on the same board before it. ( I rma'd for a replacement at the suggestion of MSI) I bought new memory and a new power supply at that point.

I have tried 3 different matched sets of memory, two video cards, various memory combinations, in the case, out of the case.... cleared cmos 80 million times... I only have the 1 cpu and I am not afraid my new cpu is bad even though the motherboard tosses up a memory detect code.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks for reading and such,

    Wicked

Does it POST if you remove the memory entirely?
