No "run"

Using Windows 7
I found the RUN command and placed it in the START taskbar with an Icon
Suddenly it doesn't work anymore and I get a message:
"Run
The item you selected is unavailable. It might have been moved,renamed,or removed. Do you want to remove it from the list?"

I tried restart the computer, no good
What should I do. I hope I don't have to re-install Windows 7

You really don't have any need for the Run command in Vista or Win 7. You can type your command straight into the Start > Search box, or if you want an open command window, type cmd > OK first. You can start almost anything from the Search box by typing in a few letters from its name. For instance 'rest' will throw up both Backup and Restore, and System Restore for you to choose.
