no screen

    yea so i got a gateway 5404 it comes on and everythin but i connect it to the monitor and nothing its like the monitor is off but the monitors not the problem because if i connect it to another computer it works

    oh by the way the video card is built in to my mother board and everything is clean because i cleaned it out before and its still dust free

    If you see nothing on the screen ever, it could mean your video chip is dead.
    This is a slot that computer has: One PCI Express ×16 (graphics interface)
    Borrow a video card and see if you get a display.

    Sometimes unplugging the PC and removing the CMOS battery for a minute or two and putting things back will get you a BIOS screen. Might be worth a quick try to see if any change.

    i was thinking maybe the spot were the screen plugs is no good
