no signal =(

yeh..about 2 weeks ago my computer was making immense amounts of noise and keeping me awake. i bought an asus silent square which i figured will do the job quite nicely. the item came in and i installed it last night. now my monitor will always give me a "no signal" message.

i normally have it as a dvi input , i tried both vga and dvi through my video card and then tried vga through the mobo as well and still nothing..
little help?

 

hmm... sounds like a video card issue to me. I've had an old comp that slipped off the desk and we fortunately caught the pc, but the video card came unplugged (which we didn't know of until a bit later). Which in turn, my pc had i think the same issue. Also, it could be your video card is going out?

 

ive tried several things but to no avail.. new mobo?

so far i've tried
ressetting the cpu cooler (asus silent square)
also reset the bios
tried vga and dvi inputs through the vid card
tried vga input thru the mobo..

i dont know what else to do.. anything else to try before i buy a new mobo?

 

is this on board video or a separate video card? try resetting the video card if you have one
