no sound device found

i cant get my sound to work. i keep getting a message telling me no sound device or my sound device is not working properly. so i went to the acer website and they said i needed to update my sound driver...so i did and im still getting the same message...HELP

Hi

What version of Windows are you using and also the Service Pack?

What is the model of ACER PC you have?

Have you reciently re-installed Windows or changed from say Vista to XP?

As Halo has stated, we really need more information in order to help you. All of the questions Halo asked above can be easily answered by providing us with an Everest hardware/software report. Here's how:

Install Everest and run (download from http://majorgeeks.com/download4181.html )
Click Report (top menu) > Report Wizard > Next
Choose All Pages > Next
Choose Plain Text > Finish and wait for report to generate
Click Save to File and leave the File Name as Report, then click the Save as Type dropdown and choose Report files (*txt) and click Save (n.b. Save to desktop is best as easy place to find it, use Browse to locate desktop)

Then attach your log to your next post as per these instructions:
