No sound - device not found?

    Hey, was just wondering if anyone can help me as my computer has lost all its sound? it has no sound tool bar an just keeps saying no sound device? :/ x

    Please post the specs of the PC in question (mother board , sound card , OS ect..)
    Check your Device manager and see if you have a yellow ! next to any thing

    Where abouts do i need to go to find this? is it on my computer? :)

    To get to the device manager in XP:

    Right click my computer

    click manage

    in the left pane click Device Manager

    in the right pane look for "Sound, video, and game controllers" and see if there is an entry there for your sound device. If so does it have a red X on it or a yellow triangle with an exclamation point?
