No sound help me please

im new to this site so im sorry if i have posted this in the wrong section i am haveing problems with my sound i cannot find it on my pc at all my pc is a hp pavilon 533w i think lol thats what is on the front under the cd tray anyway i can hit the volume button an it doesnt turn the sound up at all i can type in DXDIAG in run an cant find one listed there or on the sounds an audio devices it all went away after a systeam restore about 4 months ago i havnt had the pc on much since if i havnt listed anything that would help you figure out the problem please let me know what you need so i can get this fixed i realy want sound again

Hp has no audio driver listed for your pc, my search turned up the one above, but here is hp's driver site for your pc,[ i would wait]. ed

i did the download an i still dont have sound is there something i have to do after it downloads to get it to work?
