no sound..please help

I recently downloaded a tojan and everything is clean now...

NOW I have no sound

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a new realtecaudio and still nothing...

does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm not an expert, but I do have some experience with sound related stuff, but mostly Creative. Anyway, is it an onboard sound device or an actual card and have you checked the obvious things like connections and wires? What was the Trojan and did it mess with your sound? Can you see your device in Device Manager? What OS are you running? Did you have to do anything to or in your system BIOS? If you don't know what any of these are, I can help some I know how it is to not have sound

 

i'm no XPert either, but my friend had the same problem once...in his case, it was with his multi media keyboard...he had muted the sound via keyboard. but if you have windows, you might want to check your sound and audio devices through your control panel. other than that, i wish you luck - cuz a life without tunes isn't much of a life at all

 

Help will come, but sometimes it takes a bit.
We need to know what we are working with.
Please list your motherboard, sound card (if any) and what drivers you are using. Also, have you made any hardware changes?
