no sound

I recently had a computer custom built and I am getting no sound from my speakers. The speakers are basic dell.

 

It's pretty hard to guess at what might be the problem without knowing something more about the system, what hardware and software you're using, what steps you've taken to resolve the problem (so we don't tell you to try things you've already tried) and stuff like that.

We'd like to help, but inaccurate guesses based on unjustified assumptions is likely to cause you more grief than it will us.
