no sound

    i am having problems with my computer because theres no sound on there and it is saying something is disabled i have a inspiron 1501 some one helpppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Give us more info about the problem.Try to reinstall the audio driver.

    Exact wording rather than the vague word "something", thanks.
    Also look in hardware/device manager. Do you see any red Xs or yellow !s
    If so, what are they in front of. Every detail helps.

    I have a problem with no sound.Looked on device manager there is yellow on multimedia auto controller plus unknown device.Please help.
