no sound

    I have been having problems with my sound on my computer. When I log in it says that I have new hardware for multimedia audio controller, but it won't install because I can't find my cd for windows. Is there anyway that anyone can help me install it without the use of a cd? I use windows xp and I have a dell dimension 2350 computer.
