no sound

    hi my problem is my computer was dropped,now i have no sound; i get the basic window sounds. but when i try to play my wmp or vidieo's i get no sound.i have tried everything that i know to fix the problem,but nothing workes.please give me some help pulling my hair out. my computer is a dell insiron e1505, with windows xp in it.:confused::cry

    Try opening up the computer and re-seating the sound card. It could have got knocked out of the slot in the drop.
