No Sound

    Have Laptop Compaq N610C,P4,512mb ram.windowsxp pro sp3.
    Yesterday it was working.I did not install any new hardware or program.I usde headphone to listen music.Today When I played music,there is no sound.I checked the connections.uninstalled the driver and reinstalled the sound driver but no sound.I checked it has all properties on.no mute on.
    Please let me know what is the problem.

    Hi

    In Device Manager do you have any Yellow ! marks by ant devices, if so what?

    Also go into Services (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services) and check that the Windows Audio Service is Started and its Startup Type is set to Auntomaic.

    There is no questionable yellow mark in device manager and i checked it is alsready set to automatic in audio properties.it is not mite.i loaded new sound driver also but no sound.
