No Sound

I have a Win XP sp3, x86 based
I lost sound 10 days ago. I tried system restore no help.
I downloaded new drivers. I tested speakers, I reinstalled latest motherboard sound drivers.
Motherboard Name MSI KT4AV (MS-6712)

VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio Controller PCI
The Device Manager has no cautions.
I ran EVEREST home and can not see and obvious problems.

Susggest before I Have to reinstal

All your drivers are available here: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=552 Download and install the 'VIA Chipset 4-in-1 Drivers' first, restart the PC when the install finishes. Then download the RealTek AC97 audio driver. It's a .ZIP file, so extract it but do NOT run the setup. Follow the steps in this thread to install the driver using the Hardware Wizard. You can skip the first part about using TUGzip and just go straight to step one.

dlb I down loaded and reinstalled the driver and still no sound.

I think I have identified the problem area but I do not know how to correct.
On my everest report here is part of that report.

The buffer numbers are higher on the computer that is not working then the computer that sound is working .

Suggestion on how to change the buffer values??????
