No sound

    Hey folks. I have an older P4 system, with MSI 865PE Neo2 MB that I reassembled after upgrading my wife's comp. The same HDD is in use, and the comp worked fine when disassembled. It will not play any sound, system or other. I uninstalled the device, AC97, and reinstalled. Device manager says it is working fine, but I get nothing. The comp is running XP Home, with service pack 3. Nothing is muted, and all the tests I have tried inside the Realtek software produce nothing. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Never mind. I discovered the problem. Turns out that if you aren't using the front audio plug two jumpers need to be placed on it. Problem solved.
