--No Sound!!!--

wow, so i get home from school today and for some reason my comp will not start up, finally it does, but all my settings are weird and my sound doesn't work, i restart and it boots fine this time, everything back to normal except i still have no sound....

i have an ASUS A7N8X-E deluxe MB with onboard sound, i went to asus.com and dled the sound driver, as it was downloading i went to uninstall the driver that was there because i figured something was wrong with it, when ever i tried to load it myself i got this error:

Failed to initialize the NVIDIA audio driver! Please install and try again.



and when i went into control panel to try to uninstall it i got this error when i clicked change/remove:

Script Error:

String being Parsed:UninstallGUI



when i just tried to install the driver it showed the NVIDIA picture and was preparing the install sheild and then it just stops....

all i do really on my comp is playing computer games and listen to music, so you know how much this is annoying me, i really dont know what to do, please help anyone!!!!!!!

i dont know if this helps, but when i try to load it it gives me this message:

Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)


this is really bugging me and i really need help, i was thinking about just reformatting if no one can help me here soon, but i dotn really wanna do that, please help
