I have an eMachines T3406 Desktop and I reformatted, put XP Pro on and now no sound device. I installed Realtek Ac97 Audio driver, Intel Audio driver for the mobo and also tried to install a Sound Blaster Live! Audio card and that still did not work. So I have drivers, but no sound device. I have ran out of ideas. Any help would be much appreciated. =o)

It looks like you have an IRQ conflict. What you need to do is find the spec's for the card and then compare it to you BIOS settings.

IRQ conflict? Can you help me out and tell me exactly what to do to check that? Thanks!

P.S. The sound, out of nowhere started to work and then just stopped working again. It still says I have no audio device.
