    Hi,

    My system configuration is :

    VAIO Laptop
    Windows XP Home Edition (SP1)
    Norton Antivirus 2004
    1MB RAM, 40 GB HD

Since last few days, my Antivirus has stopped starting at start up.

I tried to repair it but to no avail. Even when I right click any file, select SCAN USING Norton, nothing happens.

I tried to repair Registry, thro' REGEDIT, but the Window never comes up.

    Samething happens with Task Manager.

Then, I tried booting the System in SAFE MODE. But even pressing the Function Key for longtime, the Boot up Menu doesnot come at all.

I donot know whether this is a OS issue, Virus or Spyware so posting this here. I am able to run my other application as of now normally. (eg. Office XP) but not sure when what will go down. Need some help urgently.

Shahdhar, go to the Spyware Forum first and follow their recommendations to rule out infection.
