hi all.. i have a problem with firefox.. the IE6 substitute has been great untill now... i did some kind of mozilla update and ever since the user interface is messed up. this is what it looks like (below). does anyone have an idea how to fix it? i tried reinstalling it but that didnt help...
the websites are displayed correctly, just not the rest of firefox. and when i click one of the top left corner buttons such as Tools, i just get a dropdown list in plain black!...

The theme you're using is no good.

Start Firefox in safe mode (Start->Programs->Mozilla Firefox->Safe mode) and change back to the default theme.

Tonglebeak! i cant belive u said that! after trying around all sorts of stupid stuff getting nowhere, u just gave me the perfect answer. Thnx!!
cant believe i didnt think of that! :)

the theme must have been screwed up when it did the update..just weird that even after removing it completely and reinstalling it, it was still using the broken theme.. i guess i must have missed something, such as the bookmarks too, which are still there

Your profile (bookmarks, extensions, themes, etc.) is saved in a different location (your application data directory). That is why uninstalling does not remove a profile.
