I have an item connected to my usb on my pc.
In device manager its shown as COM 1
Looking in the settings for the item it is also shown in COM 1
My problem is when i click connect on the item i see a message saying NO VALID CONNECTION ?

Any advice how to overcome this message.

    Thanks.

My first guess would be you had something connected that you installed software for. That item is no longer connected and the software is looking for it on startup. It could be a USB drive, webcam, mouse, keyboard, printer or anything that was in the USB.
