ok here is my problem. My buddies motherboard died, so we went out and replaced it with an asus p5ld2 model and it powers up, but it does not have a video image. We tried switching the video card out with one we knew would work, still no image. Tried switching the ram and the monitor, still no go. The only thing we havent tried switching is the processor, but we're pretty sure that isnt it. If anyone can give me some advice i would apriciate it.

    comp specs:

    motherboard- asus p5ld2
    cpu-p4 ht 775 3.4ghz
video card- ati radeonX700 pro pci express
    ram-geil 1gig ddr2 553
    power supply- 550watt

    thanks

Are you sure the other m-board was bad, maybe it was the cpu. When you get no video it's usually, cpu, mem, try clearing cmos, and be sure the p4 plug is plugged in the m-board, the little square, 4 wire plug, thats for the cpu. ed

I strongly second the suggestion to clear CMOS if you have not already. It's good practice to do so anytime you are swapping or installing a new motherboard.
