    hi,

ive recently bought a new video card, a ati radeon 9250, and i want it so that i can use my tv with my monitor. I cloned the tv, so that they both show up, but what happens, when i try to watch a video file, it will show on my monitor, but not on the tv? (it will just be a black screen). I have the tv connected through s-video.

does anyone know what might be the problem?

EDIT: I had a close read through the ATI help manuals, could this be the problem?

"Video Overlay allows for the viewing of full-motion video on your computer. However, there is only one video overlay in hardware. For display arrangements consisting of a primary and a clone, the video overlay is only available on the primary display. (For extended desktop arrangements, the video overlay will be visible across all displays.)"

So I made my tv the primary device, so it video will show up on the tv, but not the monitort. Is there any way around this? Or will I be continually changing my cloned device?
