Hi. I'm having an annoying problem that I can't seem to solve. I am running Windows 8.1 on an HP Envy M6 laptop. I have a NetGear wireless router and cable internet. Whenever I have to restart my computer, I cannot connect to my secure (WPA2) wifi profile. My router has a guest account (unsecured) which connects with no problem. I've tried forgetting the network and setting it up again. That doesn't work. I tried the winsock reset but that didn't work either. I'm guessing it has to have something to do with the security since it connects to the unsecured guest account easily. If I wait long enough (hours, days), the computer will suddenly be able to connect to the secure profile. Can anyone offer insight (or a solution) to this problem?

    Hi,

have you tried the automatically connect to this device at startup ?

I was messing around and found this in wireless setting s somewhere, perhaps in connected devices or wireless devices forget precisely where sorry.

    hope this helps somewhat.

I'm not really sure where you mean. I've checked in every place that wireless settings could be and I don't see anything about startup.
