    I picked up an older Acer Aspire 5250, Win. 10, am not getting a WiFi signal, when I hit the icon, says WiFi not connected, I go to the WiFi icon and it is off, but after trying the on/off choice it does not turn on. Help!

    Are you pressing the fn button as well ?

    It may be the windows button , instead of fn, but usually pressing fn +f3 button together should work

    This key has the same effect as clicking the right mouse button;

    Many notebooks have a separate button to instantly disable wireless. Look for it - often along the front edge. Also you typically can quickly disable the wireless using the correct Fn + F-key combination. There is no industry standard for this. On my Toshiba, it is FN + F8. This basically puts the notebook in "airplane" mode. This should be in the manual, or just look at the keys for an antenna icon.

    Since it came with Windows 7 from the factory, have you gone to Acer's site to see if all the correct drivers for Windows 10 have been installed?

    Test another function key besides wireless (like mute which is F* on my Acer) to see if the function keys actually work.

    This is the wireless info

    I found a thread for a 5253 with lots of people having no wireless. One person posted this and got 48 thanks.
