nodefault gateway/acquiring network address

hope you can help

wireless router(through cable) was working fine until i tried to secure the network, ever since i have had no wireless connectivity.

in wireless connections it is stuck on acquiring network address.

i have tried several different things that have been recommended to me,manually assiging ipand gateway addresses, reset the router back to factory settings and still no luck

What did you do to secure your router? Did you set a passphrase/key? If so, your wireless computers need that key to connect.

 

yes, i enter the nework key, and then it just sticks on acquiring network address,
