Non-Installing E-mail checker?

Hi there! New to the board, so hi and stuff....
Got a quick question. I'm on a PC which the Admin has disabled /Installation capabilities (Clever Tech...) but i'm wanting to use a program to notify me if i get any e-mail in my Hotmail account, instead of having to go on the webpage every 5 mins because i'm jobsearching, and wanting to be notified when i get mail... Any ideas on what software to use?

no outlook isn't on there at all, checked....

 

i can d/l stuff, just not run installshield or stuff.... and i wouldn't get fired, no worries there. It's the latest IE, and outlook express has been removed... bleh...

 

yeah it's only got Hotmail as an option.... Meh.

just a thought do you have msn messenger installed on that box because you could then sign in using your hotmail account have it loaded in your taskbar and this will then pop up on the screen when you have e-mail

sadly it's got sweet FA installed, and i can't run any kinda installer... A Touch annoying!

Admin can hide it, bit why chance they are logging sites also? You could still be in trouble.

 

Why not do the obvious and just ask admin for it? Seems as if there is no need to worry about being fired over it there would be no worry about asking them to either install it for you (and maybe other employees??) or allow you access so you can install it (one time access maybe) and take that responsibility off of their hands.
