Just about ready to give up and thought I would post here as I always get amazing help.

For months now I've been plagued with non responsive scripts. They are so bad that they pop up a dozen times on a site, making it impossible to go anywhere. I've had 3 and 4 pop up on the same site and it's different sites. I've tried both options of continue or stop and that often leaves it just sitting there thinking.

It started on Firefox and I went there for help, they suggested No Script which was of no help. So I thought it was a Firefox issues, went to Chrome and the same thing. Play with IE8 which I never use and the same issue.

The computer is older and memory I'm told is a issue but right now don't want to put that money into a machine this old. So I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

Then I decided to download a new Firefox version and completely delete all files of Firefox...no help. Thought maybe something in those files were corrupted.

Yesterday I was lurking on here and read about Comodo Dragon and Ice Dragon and how fast they are and they both got great reviews. So I download the Comodo IceDragon and it is super fast and I'm thinking okay this did the trick. Was using it about 2 hours and low and behold one after another of the script error messages/screen freezing.

Is it possilbe that it's not a browser issues and actually something wrong, corrupted or missing in Windows XP program?

The computer is virus and malware free. I use AVG, CCCleaner and MalwareBytes (free version). Dumb me used the registry cleaning on CCCleaner a few times and am wondering if that could have deleted something that was needed.

Sorry for the long post and any help would be fantastic.

By the way....got 2 script errors while attempting to type this. Grr!

    Thanks for replying so quickly.

I'm not finding any restricted sites. Unless I'm not looking in the correct place.

I checked YesScript and none are set in there and as I just installed Comodo IceDragon last night, I've not played with any settings. That was the reason I went for a browser that I've never used...I wanted something installed that had not been customized to my likings.

No parental controls have been set on it either. No children to worry about. I can't remember ever setting a site to be restricted. I could understand if it only happens on Firefox but now it's doing it on 4 browsers.

    Again, thank for your time.
